I used the 3D-gauge set from Jerry Nelson. The knobs are made on my 3-Inch model lathe and each bezel is handmade on a mandrel to fit the 3D gauge exactly. The inclinometer is a piece of spruce routed to accept a heated (formed) clear plastic rod. The routed groove is painted white and a black felt tip pen used to create the ball. When the rod is glued in it magnifies the ball and looks like the real thing. The “degrees ” are made from a CAD program then glued on. I have fabricated a rear fuel tank panel that velcro’s under the instrument panel but, it was not attached during the photo shoot. The electronic connection you see to the right of the fuel tank is for charging the onboard glow battery.
